Breaking into industry

I have 5 years of experience at this point with multiple promotions but my job title (member of technical staff) makes it difficult for me to apply to and hear back from product manager roles even though I’ve been doing the same work.

Any advice on how I can break into the product manager world?

(Background is a BS in comp sci and started as a software dev for a year before moving in to member of tech staff)
