How fast do you get to know about the decision of your interview from expedia?

I recently interviewed for expedia and have no clue about who the recruiter is because there were multiple people who contacted me. What's the general timeline of getting an offer/ rejection from them? I've read a lot of posts where people immediately got to know of the decision, right after their interview.

  • Nothing standard, like most companies. Depends on how many other candidates they are looping for the role and where they are in the process. The holidays aren't going to help.

Just email whoever first reached out to you about the job - not who scheduled it. Or if multiple recruiters, email them all. Sometimes recruiters pair up to load balance. But if you email the scheduler, they can tell you who the recruiter is too. In theory the scheduling email should list the recruiter name too. I'm sort of baffled by how you can't tell who it is, tbh.

ETA I'm at Microsoft now but was actively hiring at Expedia up until I left in the summer.

  • Generally, you should receive an answer within one week after your loop interview. In some cases, it might take longer but it should not go over two weeks. However, as we are almost on the holiday season and there are many people on annual leave, I'm not sure how much we are sticking to the usual timelines.

To get an update, try to email whoever scheduled your interview - they should at least connect you with the recruiter who is currently handling your application.
