Marketing role with EA 11 YOE $160k Base Pay 15% Annual Bonus $130k in stock, vested over 3 years (not 4) $20k Signing Bonus Anyone know if this is good based for EA? Do they have more room for flexibility? #gaming #EA #offer #offereval #comp #compensation
Depends on the studio, but culture is great, better than most. Not sure why people still default to an idea they have of EA that's literally 20 years old. Bonus is standard range, probably not worth negotiating over. Same for Salary. More room to ask for RSUs or signing bonus. My RSUs have been refreshed every year for three years, but that's not guaranteed. About half my reports don't get that. Sounds like a decent offer. EA is very competitive with ESPP and 401k benefits as well. Good luck
Maybe I’m just bad at negotiating, or it’s my level/business unit, but they wouldn’t budge on anything. Claimed it was the max. I still took it (25% bump from my current role before any stock appreciation). Any advice on how to score those sweet sweet refreshers?
Game companies pay this high??!
What grade/title did you get hired for? Curious bc I’m evaluating my own comp right now.
Is it remote? Also I would check out their culture, don't think they have good reputation. Also do you think EA as a company has a good future? In terms of stock.
Remote for now, hybrid later. They don’t have a great reputation, but companies that do are few and far between in gaming. Word is their culture has improved a lot in recent years. Yes, I do. They have remained flat for quite a while despite some big growth and acquisitions.
