Got an offer for PM at EA Tiburon, Orlando. I had given an expectation of 120K base before it all started. TC offer breakdown: Base: 100 K Annual Bonus: 15% Stock options: 60K - 90K (1/3rd can be vested after 1st year, and so forth) Negotiations to be started now. Do yall think it's a fair offer? Want to make sure I'm not low-balled. Current TC: 72 K base No bonus or stocks YOE: 2.5 as a PM Location: NJ Note: Since I'll be starting remote (NJ) and moving to FL in Jan, they're ready to pay higher as per NY/NJ rates until I move. #offer #product #pm #lowball
Bump!
I think there isn’t a standard per say. If you went on levels.fyi, you will see how FANG companies pay but the reality is the other companies don’t pay like that. I’d def negotiate, though.
Unfortunately, levels.fyi doesn't have enough data. Just want analyze how high I can shoot above 100k base.
Ask for $140k if you can. But, if stock is liquid (ie company is public) you might have more success milking extra from there
For PM designation that seems about right.
What did your final offer end up being?
Did you just get a 100% increase with the first offer of TC = $145k? (Assuming stock is liquid) Congratulations aside, I’d look up how they pay via H1B salary info if you can or self reported salaries on Glassdoor etc to get data points for the negotiation.
Thanks! I have to get more clarity on the stocks from them, as I myself am new to this and trying to figure out the best. I was told the range of stocks would be somewhere between $60,000-$90,000. Not really sure what that means (RSU or stock options?)
Those are RSUs upfront, so you can add 20-30k to your yearly package for 3 years.
