Has anyone ever felt leaving the silicon valley& settle to the country side and live a simple and happy life?

The toxicity in the valley and the definition of success here are making me question what really matters in my life. Money makes me happy haha but it doesn't make me feel fulfilled and whole. Idk if that makes sense.

Absolutely, left SV because of the lockdowns and have not regretted it so far.

It's harder to find happiness with no money imo.

A simple life in the country side is probably gonna involve a lot tough manual labor to generate income. You'd be better off moving to another country with lower CoL and doing remote freelance work.

Several times, and I don’t even make a lot. Would love to settle down in a Scottish village or a beach town in Spain. And then I realize that I’d probably get bored in a month and start missing the crowded cities.
