EM interview prep
Hello friends, Can you please let me know what materials I should use for Engineering Manager Interview Prep. I am currently a EM from the last 2 years but feels out of touch of tech and woukd like to change jobs. I have interviews lined up from FB, Amazon, Uber and Microsoft but I keep on delaying them as I don’t feel ready. Any book that you guys can recommend for senario based questions? How were your interviews ? Specially interested in FB/Uber. Surprised that FB was fine with interviewing you for EM position with 2 yoe as Manager
I’m just an IC, but from what I’ve seen, most EM interviews are relatively easier on Leetcode (easy/medium) and heavy on system design.
Correct. For more senior roles,.there won't be any code. For any level, you'll have multiple system design rounds as well as rounds with management specific questions such as dealing with high performers, low performers, etc.
