Hi blinders,

Currently an SDE2 at Amazon India. Saw an interesting position at harness india.
Could folks at Harness share what is the TC band for india remote position?

Current TC: 70 LPA
Level 5, 11 YoE

    Don't go there. My friend got hired for staff engineer there at 5 yoe. He left after 4 months.

      Sorry I don't have specific details but he was always overworked, always criticized and started planning about leaving within a month after joining.
      Leveling is inflated. You will see mostly 5-6 yoe people at staff level which is unlikely in other companies.

    If you are fine pulling ~65 hours week on avg then go ahead. They are move up or out kind of firm. One bad month and you will be on the chopping block. However do well and you will rise pretty quick. IIRC out of band promotions are quite common. Also enigineering bar at is higher than Amazon so expect stiff competition.

      Details regarding promo are not right, raises etc are not good. Management gives too much coolaid regarding overwork. Things like no one works more than 14 hours are common. You only work 2-3 hours on weekends

      You will get initial offer then you will have to work 7 days 12 hours to get in limelight for promotion. Working 8 hours 5 days here is looked down upon and you will not get any hike

    Don't join. Everyone is overworked and underpaid. Raises are terrible. Stock options were worth something maybe two years back but now management barely gives anything.

      I think it makes you more flexible. I have worked in both collaborative and non collaborative teams here. So, it is easy to adjust as per the environment. Anyway, Amazon's culture is not hidden to anyone.
