I received a verbal offer from Apple which I've verbally accepted. My recruiter told me that she's gotten VP approval and now I just need to wait a few days for everything to go through the system before the official offer letter comes.

I was told beforehand that there was limited headcount and I've heard of Apple's verbal offers magically evaporating. Has anyone heard of something like this happening even after already receiving VP approval?

I have another offer that's pressuring me for a final decision, but I'm reluctant to turn them down before officially signing with apple. Am I just being paranoid?

ICT3 SWE - Cupertino
150k base
170k/4 RSUs
10% expected annual bonus

2 yoe

EDIT: got official letter about 2 weeks after verbal offer

Once it’s approved by VP it should take no more than 1-2 days to put together an offer letter. Just ask your recruiter to expedite bc of your other offer.

Thanks! The interview process was 3 rounds total: 2 screening rounds then a final round. In total ~8 LC: 2 LC hard, the rest medium, and one SD.

For prep, I tried to do around 1 LC hard or 2-3 mediums a day for a bit over a month. I would track my times and look at the solution if I couldn't get it to work in 30 min. I tried to make sure I understood the solution instead of memorizing it by reading the solution until it made sense and then only trying to implement it the next day.

For SD, I went through grokking.
