Hi,

I’m an immigrant based in EY USA (NYC). And planning to switch to either EY Canada or EY Australia in the coming few months for visa related reasons.
In terms of career growth, compensation, cost of living, lifestyle, job market, etc which is a better country to immigrate to? TIA.

I've been to both. although I spent a lot more time in Sydney. I can't speak on which is better in terms of career growth but as far as which city I liked better, it was Sydney. Sydney's weather is humid tho so that can kind of suck. Beaches are beautiful tho, good food, the city is very nice as well and a good amount of things to do

Both are terrible in terms of job opportunities, COL and taxes. Weather is great in AU, but it comes with the benefit of the company of all the deadly reptiles as they also love the sun. In Canada you should fall in love with Netflix or winter sports.

Thanks for sharing your experience. Do you know if EY would help you with L1 if you’re planning on coming back to the US from Canada? And do you have to be of a manager level in order to get your L1 transfer?
