Is selling on ebay via paypal safe? I heard they can reverse they payment even after getting the product and scam us by taking our money back

Yeah, happened to me. Sold a MacBook on there and the person contested it. PayPal favors the buyer. So, if I’m selling, I always do in person for cash only. If I’m buying, I’ll use online services like eBay/PayPal.

This is not true. Obviously just like any marketplace if buyer places a refund request, there will be an investigation on whose side the fault is on, and btw the buyer has to ship back the item to you to get payment reversed. This is just common across all marketplaces.
Its different nowadays. What if buyer finds a minor defect in the laptop. As buyer is buying a laptop from seller who did not specifically mention the defect PayPal will reverse the transaction
Buyer is expected to send you back the laptop, what’s the problem here? Are you trying to sell a laptop knowing it has a defect and not mentioning anywhere that it has a defect?
