Ebay worth joining?
Is Ebay worth joining at this point? wanted to know if its worth interviewing for a role related to network or infrastructure (Software engineer). How is the company looking in the near future. Yoe 1.5 TC 125
Not worth it. Lack of clear direction from senior leadership. Layoffs 1-2 times every year.
when you say worth, what are you referring to? what price are you paying to work at eBay? every company has trade offs
Currently I'm working in a toxic environment where the amount of work I do is around 60-70 hours a week. There's no appreciation of that. I don't mind working but people have told me in my team that since I am early in my career, this type of work will get me way more money elsewhere. So even with more work currently I'm looking for a better TC.
Then eBay will work best for you.

If you have to choose between Cisco and eBay. eBay is a better choice. I am sure you get a better TC.
Far better pay and work-life balance when compared with Cisco. There are questions on future directions of the company but that has less of an impact on individual contributors. Lay offs are almost in every company.
