I’m a tall guy (>6’), but I usually don’t recline my seat on flights. Wondering what the rest of you do.
Don't recline all the way. About halfway is a good compromise. Actually i would love the person in front of me to recline all the way as the only way i can sleep is if my head rests on the seat in front of me. But that's rare.
I’m a tall guy as well 6’3” and I learned it’s worth every penny to pay for an exit row or a premium/extra room economy seat. Then I have no shame reclining (except exit rows don’t recline).
Yes, I agree - I fly premium economy whenever I can now.
Yeah Same goes with me. I am 6.2 and had bad time once I got last row.
Reclining is an act of individualism (some might say selfishness): I’ve paid for a reclining seat, and I’m going to use it. Choosing not to recline is an act of community: the benefit most people gain from reclining is less than the inconvenience for the person behind. So net, we are all happier if no-one reclines. The interesting point is what to do when the person in front reclines. Do you also recline, to maintain your space? Or do you take the hit and prevent a cascade of reclines behind you? Maybe all seats should be fixed in the recline position, then no-one has to make this choice.
I recline part way. I typically dont recline fully unless 1) I want to sleep or 2) the person behind me is sleeping
It doesn't bother me when the person in front recline, im so why wouldn't I? In the meantime,I rarely fly domestic and never fly work American's airlines when traveling abroad. Foreigner company hanger better services and more space
They could build out Bullet trains with Posh seats but we USA would rather make shitty F35 and Boats that don’t float.
I don't even find reclined economy seats more comfortable.
This. The only airplane seats I have found comfortable are on the Airbus A380. They are way wider and more legroom than average. Even the A350 or B787 doesn't cut.
I’m reclining. I paid for the seat so it’s my choice. Passenger behind me can make the same decision. Seems obvious.
I recline half if I really feel like it would help. But it dont.
Fly first class and you won’t need to worry about this. TC: 850
Some first class flights aren't even that expensive. My typical flight is about $400 difference so I treat myself every once in awhile lol

You are indirectly paying for that facility.
how so
Technically speaking, flight companies put in a bit of engineering into it, do you not think they'd add a dividend of that cost in our tickets ?
