Uber Darius Nov 3, 2017

Well shit. Keep us updated.

Cisco Honest_tea OP Nov 3, 2017

What is this??

Uber Darius Nov 3, 2017

The police asked uber to provide data on you. We are legally required to comply. Like it says in your document.

Uber Pkjebbn Nov 3, 2017

Do u have any reason that Anything happened while you were riding/driving? If not, dont worry about it

Cisco Honest_tea OP Nov 3, 2017

Ive had some super sketchy drivers and been in an uber accident (that was fun) but other than that no

Uber Pkjebbn Nov 3, 2017

All in contra costa county?

Uber t54m3 Nov 3, 2017

Are you sure this is legit? Did the email come from and Uber domain? Did you reach out to ask for clarification?

Cisco Honest_tea OP Nov 3, 2017

I'll email back. The email is usernotice@uber.com. document looks legit. have u ever seen anything like this ??

Uber UenU55 Nov 3, 2017

@uber.com is the right domain, LERT would be the right team. Also, they don't seem to be asking you for anything, which sounds about right.

It’s clearly for some Uber driver related thing

Microsoft abcdefghil Nov 3, 2017

What is that?

Microsoft FUDOne Nov 3, 2017

Read the 2nd part of the warrant. It states that they’re looking for all the ride/ passenger details for people who traveled by one particular car/ driver registered with Uber

Microsoft Backton Nov 3, 2017

It’s production testing

Cisco Honest_tea OP Nov 9, 2017

No

My driver once offered to sell me drugs. If your driver’s been involved in something like that , that could be why.

AT&T DDM2K Nov 3, 2017

Keep it. Don’t reply to it. If it’s real, and they need you, law enforcement will physically reach out to you. If you know you didn’t do anything illegal, your account or profile may contain information that can be used to prosecute someone else, who has already shown probable cause, so an investigation can now start. If you think something went down that may be illegal and you may be seen as a part or accessory to, check Contra Costa county’s arrest warrants (most sheriff’s departments post outstanding warrants online) and check them for your uber driver’s names and see if any photos look familiar. Check for your own name. If your own name is on there and you know you shouldn’t be, contact an attorney to resolve. Do NOT walk into a police station.

Cisco Honest_tea OP Nov 4, 2017

I only know uber drivers first names. I def didn't do anything illegal ( except not wearing a seatbelt )but uber drivers are some for the sketchiest individuals and i would nott be surprised

AT&T DDM2K Nov 5, 2017

You’re right. I was thinking doing a first name sort and matching mugshots to whomever looked familiar. But in a big city that could be a lot of people.

Airbnb Huggydo Nov 4, 2017

Read the thing. One of your drivers committed a felony and somehow this data might be used in court to prove it.
