Have you thought about making a YouTube as an engineer in FANG? Or other company?

Everyday I see more and more “Eng YouTubers”

Most people making YouTube are engineers from small companies or ex Facebook ex google eng as a millionaire.

    Content creators now a day make big bucks. I think going on that path while keeping your 9-5 could be fun. I think it depends on where you want to go with it. If you go far with it, your subscribers will expect consistent uploads which might be tough to do while having a 9-5 and still taking care of other responsibilities (family, social, health, cooking etc...). If you want to just do it as a passion project then I’d say give it a try, there’s nothing to lose.

    If you have something useful and different to offer than other youtubers then you’ll attract viewers

  • I do think about a social network where there would be a fees and they won’t sell the user data for any marketing. Like a Saas model
