So I ran into a post the other day about helping students and other people who are affected by the different shutdowns of institutions as well as our different life since past week or so in the U.S., and one of the requests was to provide accesses to Netflix/hulu/HBO, etc. For students and other people who are stuck at home. I am more than happy to provide my access, as long as it is legal and under the limited amount allowed for those streaming services, but why don't companies like Netflix, hulu, Disney, HBO and Amazon Prime open their services for a limited amount of time for anyone without any payment or reduced payment at least? We are being put in a siege at home but all I can actually Watch is YouTube and CBSN if I cannot afford any of those services to keep me entertained. But please don't tell me it impacts those companies so much that they cannot allow open channels, shows and movies for a while, I think in these circumstances we can go a bit above and beyond for others to help people not go crazy at home. #Netlix #hulu #hbo #disney #amazon Some things to think about....#covid-19 #coronavirus
Let's face it. It's $9 or less per month. That's country's minimum hourly wage. Anyone wants it in this country can afford it. If a family cannot afford it, they probably can't afford $40 broadband in the first place.
Also true, but in times like these multi-billion companies usually do something for the people. I would have expected at least something from any of the streaming services companies. HBO would have been nice to have right now with their endless shows
Lol people aren’t ok with giving free vaccines, you are taking free Netflix. Good luck convincing the market you took a hit from your ISP costs cos you didn’t price in this free access cost.
Because their shareholders didn't invest in them to be a charity.
True :(
