    Depends if you’re a resident alien or not, and if you need to pay all or some of the taxes or are exempt. No difference between F1 or H1b, just depends if you’re a resident or non resident

      I could be wrong but I think that all comes down to the “substantial presence” test and if you are also categorized as a resident alien or non resident alien. For me I was a resident alien under F1 OPT and paid all taxes like a US citizen

      I think for the tax terms if you live in US for more than 5 years then you are resident alien
