Please comment if you live in any of the Equity apartments in Seattle. Mind if I message you? Had a couple questions Current TC - 80k Future TC - 180k
I wanna hear more about how you negotiated the raise!
Put the ball in HM’s court, they didn’t ask how much I currently make
Used to live in one of their apartment
Which one if you don’t mind me asking?
Veloce Apartment in Redmond. I had good experience with them. They never charged anything extra during move out and got my full security refund
Equity was ok in my experience, lived in their west seattle and ID apts. They didn't screw me on rent or random fees for the most part. The ID place was undergoing invasive renovations last year which caused a lot of issues, unsure if those are over.
They’ll raise rent by at least 10% every year.
Fml, just signed a lease with harbor steps
that’s good at least a year away
To provide more details, Basically I drive a RAM Laramie (tall guy) I asked the person when signing my lease if I should be fine parking but forgot to ask height specifics. Turns out it’s a 6’6 clearance and that’s basically my truck’s height as is (not lifted or anything). I don’t know wtf to do now as I was gonna drive my stuff up from CA and apartment lease is signed. Only option I come up with is get rid of my truck and opt for something smaller.
It is going to be inconvenient but you might be able to get monthly parking at a nearby garage and then drop parking from your lease. That or swap your car out. If you plan to drive downtown a lot with a truck, then I hope you are incredibly patient.
Yea the Russel investments one is a bit taller at 6’8 but not by much. But parking at public ones end up being risky as limited hours and risk of being broken into right? Curious as to what you mean by patient? I only plan on driving 1-2 times per week as I live right near work and I’d walk/take transit most places.
Equity is pretty decent, I used to live in the Olympus and Centennial in Belltown. I’d stay away from Centennial though, it’s old and the elevators are always broken.
Gotcha, I chose Harbor Steps in downtown
Harbor Steps is nice. Is Maddie still there?
Haven’t moved in just yet
Equity is the worst. They fraudulently sent me to collections due to human error, and after 4 years and two lawyers, I'm still fighting to get the negative mark off my credit report.
Goddamn wtf
I've lived in equity for 6 years. they're good but they do raise the rent. you can negotiate if you're willing to walk though
I see. They screwed me over a bit as the leasing agent said I would be fine parking my Ram in the garage. I find out after the lease is signed that it’s only 6’6 clearance so I’m basically having to buy a new vehicle just to keep something there. Def gonna use that against them next year
congrats on the raise!
