This seems unreal! Seeing a case where a senior employee seems to be untouchable in Walmart sunnyvale. Inspite of a few ethics violations, raised to leaders, no action is being taken. Some of the violations are, threatening junior employees, ageism and retaliation. Seems like an Uber in making except at the fortune #1 TC: 350k
Report it to the ethics Hotline, I'm sure you have one
Been 12 weeks since it was reported. No action.
How do you know?
What does threaten mean? They are threatening to hurt someone? Or are they threatening to say their are only two genders?
All these violations are hard to prove.
Fair point. There are other provable violations- cannot post else it will reveal the identity of the person involved. Shockingly, no action taken!
It’s a liability issue. If they fire that senior person then they accept that violation happened and at that moment they will expose themselves for lawsuits. They will keep ignoring it until the victim threatens to goto court or comes with concrete proof that can be used in arbitration against them.
Uber has nothing to do with Walmart problems.
Walmart is cutthroat with senior managers playing their own version of game of thrones all the frigging time. They'd rather move up their posts than beat Amazon.
Agree. This is by far the most political company I've seen. Was not expecting this at #1. This is just a big legal case waiting to happen.
I'll be honest, I doubt anything will change. Walmart may be new to technology but they are experienced in legal battles. A good lawyer is worth their hourly weight in gold
You just need to go straight to HR, senior leadership was fired in our dept (San Bruno office) for something similar, but was more towards women.
How did they get evidence?
Use the Walmart global ethics channels, as long as it's anonymous. HR is not on your side.
Sad fact of life people can get away with things like this.
Did you report it to HR or Ethics? As most people have mentioned, so long as you have the paper trail and people to corroborate the violations, Walmart takes it very seriously. My own SVP was let go due to a reported ethics violation just last year.
Looks like I made a big mistake joining Walmart
