Planning for a europe travel, need recos for must places to visit.. interested in historic and nature. Not sure when i will be able to visit again so wanted to visit some good places :) Started looking around Greece and Italy because i heard this cities most of the times.. Also want to check on travel between places
Prague is top 3 if you want a beautifully rich historic city.
I always hear Americans recommend Prague. I’ts nice just like many other European cities but has colder attitudes and climate. Also lots of thieves. Beautiful architecture but I always chuckle when Americans tell me Prague is the most beautiful city in the world. Clearly they haven’t been to Rome etc
Prague is in czech and is that the only city in czech to visit ?
There’s also Karlovy Vary there!
If you insist you could also visit Kraków in Poland which is also beautiful and auschwitz is nearby for some history.. i went there with a class while living in Germany . I’ve been there and I think everybody should see it once and witness
Do you recommend other cities in Poland?
History: Rome, Vienna, Florence Fun: Barcelona, Amsterdam, Berlin Culture/Art: Paris
Santorini and Mykonos in Greece is beautiful!
Madrid is a lively city too. Venice is beautiful as well. All unique experiences in their own way.
Baercelona is easier, and more fun, for an American than Madrid. Otherwise around the north I prefer San Sebastian to both Madrid and Bilbao. Sure, San Sebastian isn't nearly as large as Madrid, but it's beautiful, with a great vibe, and likely overlooked by Americans. Bilbao can be skipped altogether -- while there's a Guggenheim the rest of the city lacks charm.
I travelled 7 countries in a driving trip. I liked Interlaken the most.
Which ones topped in your list
There more good cities like France and Spain, but I find some villages like Amsterdam worth visiting too. Township of London is a quick trip away from there.
