147 base / 200 rsu / 40 sign-on Ms+ 6yoe. Business analyst/ integrator role. Numbers seem underwhelming compared to what most people get on blind. Recruiter says this is the final offer. Can i still negotiate after svp approval? I am currently making 100k base in florida, living the high life with 0% state income taxes. I am not sure if it is worth it to move to the bay area on that salary. Lifestyle wise i prefer florida; but google is google.
I am doing something similar. Moving from a comfortable job in San Diego to a better brand company in New York. What helped me make my decision was that eventually I would have to move out of San Diego one day as I have ambitions to earn more and work in a bigger company. The Florida life is good I’m sure. But take this chance and experience a different city. And like you said - it’s Google. You can move anywhere after that.
Your quality of life will definitely take a huge hit, but just go for 2 years just for the reputation on your resume. You can also consider asking them to team place you in Seattle where there is 0% state income taxes.
At this point i think ive already got a pretty impressive resume, so lifestyle, wlb and the city are important factors. Its too cold in seattle for me. But, i do acknowledge that it is hard to get accepted into google so maybe i should not take it for granted.
Why would life take a hit

@OP - do you work with big brand name currently? That would weigh in if you need goog on your resume or not.
Previously i worked for 2 big brand names so i dont have problems getting interviews everywhere. I dont “need” google on my resume per se but google has been topping best places to work for lists for years so that intrigues me.
Even tho it’s Florida, if your base is only 100k, then your resume is not that impressive. Google is a step up, go for it.
Higher numbers are for engineers. Not your role. You are getting a decent offer.
OP that's a pretty good offer, I see why they wouldn't go higher.
Go for a year to get name, then move back
What level is this? Really good offer for BA
So if no income tax, where’s the catch?
Go there for a year and then move back to Florida
