Reposting because I realized I should put some numbers Square $300k ($180k base) Chime $360k ($210k base) I really like both companies mission and products. People seemed great and culture seems good at both places Biggest factor for me is thinking about the future growth of each company. Chime at $15b pre-ipo and Square being a $100b+ company already. Squares business is so strong and innovative, not sure about a Chimes business

Yoe ? Role ? Chime is no brainer I believe

Was the interview leetcode heavy?
I was interested in Chime at one point but really don't see what's special about their product. There's probably a dozen other companies that offer exactly the same thing right now. Funny thing is that their head of product said they worry most about Cash App.
Any link to this quote from the chime head of product?
I kind of feel the same. Or just don’t really understand what makes chime special or at least how they can build a moat around their business and expand. Would love to hear from Chime employees
I like chime, they’re the biggest new bank with really sleek UX. I’d be curious to hear if they have strong moat and differentiating features, I don’t see anything that really stands out. But maybe just doing banking really well will continue to bring in more people and make them hard to beat, it’s certainly drawing me in. Either way, I think they’ll see some multiples in value and you have a unique opportunity to join at a good time.
Role?
Bump... any people from Chime comment? Particularly around the future and what makes chimes product strong and moat-able?
All companies have strong and exciting roadmaps. But what have they shipped?
Replied in some of the threads. :-)
Don't see chime growing. Sq just announced their own financial services bank. Chime is 10 years away from this
Does chime really need that to grow from $15B to $50B though?
Square will always be 10 steps ahead of chime in many regards but IMO chime does what it does very well, and still has a lot of room to grow in their own regard
How many shares did you get OP? And did you end up joining?
Are you able to negotiate with Chime?

Chime will be going public, you can make millions once it IPOs. It’s a great company and I heard the culture there is amazing. I’m currently preparing to interview there as well
Thanks I appreciate that. Since you’re in Visa / fintech, what are your thoughts on chime as a business? I’m struggling to really understand what makes it special, and how they can build a moat around it. Would love input from Chime people here as well
