Hi folks, i have offers from a few companies and I am considering two, can you please help me decide Amazon AWS - SDE2 Base 175K Sign on: 1st year 140k, 2nd year 104k Stock: 160 RSU’s vesting 5%, 15%, 40%, 40%. Microsoft - Sr. SDE Base 185 Sign on: 1st year 70k, 2nd year 30k Stocks: $250k vesting over 4 years, 25% each year. Current TC: 250k YoE: 5 P.S: what’s up with every single person I dealt with at Amazon being an Indian, the recruiter, the HM, every single interviewer and the client lead... wft! Where is diversity?!
Apple to amazon can be downgrade in terms of resume. Microsoft is more better. In my opinion
It is a downgrade, they were buttholes with the design questions at AWS, i told them I had no experience at all with what they are building, yet, they asked me to design it over and over again, very low level scalable search and storage design questions, i did pretty good, but, just for lack of experience they offered L5, with a salary of L6

That TvC at Amazon looks extremely high. Are you in AI? Your comp looks like Senior SDE. It is also rare Microsoft gave you senior for 5YOE. Congrats!
I am not in AI but MSFT will be in an AI team. Amazon isn’t. With amazon, i cracked the SDE3 interview, but they offered SDE2 with senior pay due to lack of experience in the specific product...
Is this before or after negotiating with each? If it’s after could you share initial offers?

😂 at AWS, it’s constant, about 330k per year, at MSFT, first year is 320k, 2nd year is about 285k, but eligible for annual bonus and refreshers, which is not available at amazon
Refreshers for 63/64 is at around 15-20k over 4 years and bonus is 15% target.
