Got an offer from a early-mid stage fintech startup in the Bay Area as a returning intern new grad.

Base: 130k
Options: $45000 over 4 years

My manager and team have been great, so I'd love to work there, but mainly not sure about the options. I'm not able to get a strike price and share count as I'm not starting until the summer so I get a dollar amount instead. (I also cannot find the valuation online anywhere, only the funding raised.)

Is this a fair offer?

What’s their fair market value per share?
Honestly you should not consider the stocks as cash. I have to pay 5k a year for 20k in stocks that are likely never going to be worth anything (liquid)

I'm not sure. I'm guessing since they're giving me the cash value, once it's closer to the start date the (fmv - strike price) * number of shares = $45000

That’s not how it worked at my current one. I have to eat the strike price. I would bet you have to also

It's a relatively small startup, 1-3 years old, but is generating revenue.
