For those of you who were part of the high turnover at SpaceX, why did you leave the company?
Elon tried to force choke me in a conference room luckily my manager stepped in and was able to negotiate for my release though last I heard he has since been frozen in carbonite
Pay too low
Got offered 420.69 TC elsewhere.
We get our stock grants in 6 month cliffs. So people who are unhappy leave on a 6 month buffer. People who have been here for awhile have millions on paper and have been able to liquidate it in recent funding rounds that happen on around the same cadence. It is then a bit of a chain reaction. We lost so much of the experienced management in the last year. Newly hired folk are Elon bootlickers who don't know shit but make sweeping bad decions anyway. Individuals have held the place together so when they're dissed by some actions, they leave too.
how does spacex expects employee not to burn out?
Elon and upper management expects you to work 24x7… and deliver every time… no margin for error…
Well...no margin for error...obviously 😅 24x7 is too much though.
Are you in it to win it, or no?
