would you feel safe ordering Doordash or Uber Eats given that you live in the South Bay?

  • Posted this in a comment, but for rest of the thread as well, this is the procedure I'm following for out food.

    Procedure is:
    **Note**: No touching your face the instant you touch the food containers. Your hands are hot/contaminated after the first step. Treat them as such until you wash your hands.

    * Replate food onto something microwaveable.
    * Throw away containers and accoutrements that came with meal.
    (You'll want to use your own silverware/napkins/condiments.)
    * Microwave food until it's burning (you) hot.
    * Wash hands with soap for 20 seconds.
    * Wipe down any surface that you touched since step 1.
    (Don't forget your door and microwave!)
    * Food should be sufficiently cooled by this point.
    * Enjoy!

    • Wiping containers would more so be the case with groceries.

  • Yeah I've been supporting local restaurants and tipping drivers 25%. Want that good mom and pop to survive? Well, you can help.

    Also donating $200 to the local foodbank bi-weekly

    For those who are posting how they would sanitize/are sanitizing the delivery, did you vote Yes or No? From the amount of effort that you guys are willing to put in to sanitize, I’d much rather just eat something from the fridge.

    • I voted yes, but I've only got take out twice since this started. Food from the fridge is all well and good, but burritos and Chinese food are difficult to make with what I have on hand.
      You have to shake it up occasionally to keep your morale up, but I'm going the cautious route too. It's worth it.
