Expected TC questions - SDE
Recruiters keep asking my expectations in regards to base pay and total package. How should I tackle this questions or should I post a number. Currently working as SW Data Engineer. Have Experience over 7 yrs with various companies. Worked on Hadoop Stack, AWS, SQL, Tableau, Python Current TC SF Bay Area : 135k$ + ~12k$ stocks + variable bonus depending up company performance Want to know what other people are making with same profile. #tc
You should talk to a different recruiter that is more negotiable. Seriously. If you give a range. You locked yourself into that range. If you give too much. Recruiter won’t call you back. Either way. You’re f ed

Depends on the leveling you’re targeting Do your homework per company and ask top of the band per level This is what I did with some minimum expectation Worked well - got top of the band
12k shares of stock or $12k in stock value? You should always say negotiable.
