Fresh PhD from top 5 CS school. No experience, undergrad and then PhD. Good publication/research record and position related to the area. What is expected offer at Fb ( AML), Apple (Siri) and may be Google, not sure about it though. Basically want to know what a good offer ( base/RSU/Sign on) should be in this case. Dont want to unnecessarily haggle a lot.
Good offer would be 350. Realistic offer would be 250. The offer that will make you sad is around 150.
Do you mean these numbers including sign on or just base + rsu + cash bonus.
I mean base + rsu + cash bonus
Itâs same as bachelors. PHD doesnât matter no one will even ask you about it or will give a damn
lol good one
With a PhD they'll likely start you out at the level above entry-level. There you'll be competing with people just 2 years out of undergrad and 90% chance the PhD won't help you any further.
From several other posts it seems you definitely start 1 level above, like E4 at Fb or T4/L4 (forgot what its actually) at Google
yeah they have a typo in their post should be "above" not "about"
Kai fu lee says top ml PhDs get 8 million to 12 million comp package. He wishes he were born later to get this
was he referring to Jeff Dean or Feifei Li đ
Or prob himself.
