Update: Trans Coworker Stealing Breast Milk
Hey all, got an offer to join Microsoft. Currently I'm at expedia. Overall, I like my team and work at expedia. However, I feel microsoft has better brand name worldwide and may help me in different aspects. I also have one side hustle (consider it as my POC on some business idea). So, it is important for me to have enough time left after day job for my side hustle, especially for a year or so. I am wondering how would be the work culture at Microsoft whether it makes sense to make this switch. Love to hear thoughts from other especially someone who have worked at both these companies. Offer : L64 Base : $72k, Variable : $24k Rsu: $140k Signon : $12k YOE : 11rs
Give and take buddy
Which org in MSFT? If Azure , it will be hard to find time for anything else
It is not azure. Probably it is for "teams" AFAIK...any insights for work culture there?
Pay the blind tax first ie Tc or gtfo
Tax paid :)
How many days after submitting documents, recruiter got back? Is it india branch
Yes, it is for India
I think it took 3weeks..but generally takes 2weeks.
What was your TC in Expedia?
Sw or pm role?
Sw
Good offer. Stocks can be improved but they don’t budge without competing offers.
I mean...Expedia is a sinking ship
yikes, why do you say that? new grad here
Please tell me you forgot a 1 on that base 😅 Is the RSU amount, per year, or across the 4 years? what's variable ? Is this TC for Seattle?
Holy shit. I just noticed how low it is. That's insane.
All figures is for India location of expedia and microsoft. Rsu is across 4yrs. In covid era, company decided to add variable component to base. So, no variable officially and it is all base. No, I didn't forgot 1. It is what it is
How's the Microsoft tc breakdown?
