I have been offered by both Expedia and Concur for product management roles. Expedia: Level M TC: 215 Concur: Level T33 TC: 195 I have 10+ experience. Looking for a role where I can have WLB (have young kids) and grow from career perspective. Which company would be better to join from long term perspective? Thanks
What does level M map to?
Yoe? Location? Is M swe manager?
10+ YoE. M is there Lead/Sr Manager level role. It is a PM role.
is your expedia offer for the Bellevue location? and for PM or senior PM?
Yes, both are for Bellevue location. However, Expedia is moving to Seattle by end of this year. Expedia is lead PM role, Concur is Sr PM role.
Any other pointers from anyone else?
Current Status: 1) Concur is going through change management 2) Morale is super low 3) SAP will have 20-30% layoffs in USA 4) There are a lot of uncertainties about products 5) Product direction is changing every day 6) Everyone is level 3 (sr)
Thx
I live on east side so from a commute perspective, Concur is just 20 minutes drive. Expedia will be more than an hour drive after it moves to Seattle early 2020. Is working from home (1 or 2 days a week) a norm at Expedia?
Expedia move starts in q4 of this year. WFH is very team dependent
What are the numbers?
Any Expedian to comment? How bad will be the commute situation to Seattle office?
Commute is going to be terrible if you are on Eastside. Expedia provide commute options but nothing looks promising enough to have easy commute. Many people are trying to leave Expedia (Bellevue location) before the move. Work form Home depends on your team. My (Egencia under Expedia group) team and manager is against wfh and hours not very flexible as well. Again, it depends on your team.
How’s Tc in egencia team? Has team moved to Seattle?
Idk about Expedia but W/L balance at SAP is pretty good but the TC could be better. It’s also highly political and being German is a fast track to growth
What is TC range for T33 PM at concur? Will they be able to match/exceed Expedia offer?
I have no clue man I’m a technical account manager. You’re on your own on this one
