How common/acceptable is it to expense these headphones at companies like Facebook, Google, Amazon, LinkedIn etc?
At Facebook, no questions asked. You can just order them
Are they urs to keep?
This is false, it’s manager discretion and people do get these expense reports denied
At Amazon, it depends on the org. Quite a few approve up to $100 or $150 towards a noise cancelling or closed back headphone. The rest you'd pay out of pocket
Googlers get 30% off to begin with, but just need a reason that it will increase productivity. Commuting or testing a11y labels are valid :)
At LinkedIn we get a pair at orientation along with a T-shirt
Wat. I didnt get one >:(
No way? I'm joining in a few months, when was this?
Google, just put on gCard. Though I opted for Sony.
Which Sony did you get? I'm thinking about the 1000M3
Yep I’ve got the WH-1000XM3 and they rock
Google gives you free Google ANC headphones.
Salesforce let’s you reimburse up to $200 toward a pair.
