I have never worked on AWS before. I would like to get my hands dirty, setup/configure something quickly, experiment with data at minimal cost. How do I do this ?
Just do it and stop procrastinating by tricking yourself into thinking you need to know “how”.
Get a job there
You can try AWS Lightsail if you’re just doing minimal stuff. Super cheap

Get an account on AWS and start creating things. Most of their stuff is free for the testing tier kind of use cases. Make sure you terminate all resources once you are done so that you don’t pay for them when not using. Done!
