Hi Blinders, I would like to know if USCIS asks specifically for the expert opinion letter/certificates or attorneys just include them to strengthen the response. When I asked the rfe response status, my attorney said they are getting the expert opinion letter but dint mention if USCIS asked for it. Got rfe for H1B visa transfer early in Jan. tc 140 yoe 4 Thanks! #h1b #rfe
Attorneys will include as many things as possible so that all questions are answered in one go even if they have not been asked right now. They don't want to keep going back and forth with RFE2 RFE3 and so on. Having said that you can ask your lawyers to forward you USCIS response.
Expert opinion is to strengthen your case. You company may have a policy to not share exact RFE and their response with employees like we have at A.
Did your transfer get accepted? How many days did it take? Was it PP?
Thanks for the response guys! Attorneys are not sharing the rfe copy and response content with me. Just letting me know whats there in the rfe and its response.
Yeah attorneys won’t share the RFE copy they only share the brief asks. I too got an RFE on Dec 31st and my attorney too included expert opinion letter with RFE response documents. I guess nowadays attorney are including that to be on safer side. My response was sent on 3rd Feb, tensed moment till any update from USCIS.
Which company are you moving to? And what was the rfe reason for you?

Usually for SO big companies solicit expert opinions to strengthen your case - not mandatory but likely to help. For Google, lawyers don’t send SO RFE response without an expert opinion letter. But ask them to expedite it:)
I have never been asked for a expert opinion letter when applying for H1B . But a very close friend at Facebook was asked for a expert opinion letter in a RFE . I would say it’s a RFE
