    They copied stories and snap is still around. Reels is a great feature on Instagram nonetheless.

      Dang, what's reels trying to tell me then? :p. To be fair, the Reels ig scroller thumbnails are dancing girls videos, but if I click into reels and start scrolling I then get better target car related content in my case. Their algo must just be throwing something along the lines of highest click/views content for those initial recommendations and then it get more uniquely personalized after that.

  • No way is it going to fight with tiktok, reels is currently hidden like gem. With this integration It will fail. One most important design in tiktok is landing on discover page on app launch, which allow discover new things based on user bahavior. Which is missing in that case, need much more isolation from Instagram.
