Talking to F and G. PM by core trade but in recent years have run a $100mm P&L with a 150 strong global team, been a very smalltime CEO (<$5mm revenue), and a small company ($50mm revenue ballpark) SVP role. Assuming I'm deemed competent, what sort of level should I expect at FB or G? Is this an L7/M2 profile or a D0/1/2 profile? Basically trying to understand leveling at this level at F/G before I get deep in the process.
Probably l7. Good luck!
I did for the best part of three years in that gig. Don't really care about the number of people I manage - will ultimately decide (if I make it through!) based on whether or not the role will engage and excite.
Sounds like Director level to me.
Lots of people have managed teams of 150 and still get leveled as L7/M2 at FB and some have gotten leveled at D1+. It depends on your experience and how you perform in the final interview. FB usually keeps leveling open and will determine it after you interview.
That seems fair. In certain contexts or roles I could see myself leveled very high. In others, not so much. I'm just at initial contact so there's a long way to go!
I've seen that be L7 with fast track to director. (They set you up and slowly move more and more responsibility to you). Promo within a year. What was your comp in these roles?
is the fast track official? how does that work
TC in the big role was high six figures - variable due to a pretty variable stock price. Comp currently way lower but with piles of meaningless paper equity.

Goog Employees Arrested
Small time CEO part doesn't matter/count. Neither does small company SVP. The "150 strong global team" catches my attention. Is the team is good as Googlers are, that's a strong signal for Director
Average Googler would be stronger than the average on that team without doubt. But with one exception everyone who left that team after I left is at either Google, FB, Uber, or Amazon. That includes engineers, PM, designers, and sales. Thanks for the input
