My PD is no longer current. immigration officer told me they’ve had to pause the release of GCs, since they were overwhelmed with applications in my EB3 category. theyre expecting for more GCs to be released by September and she tells me by then itll be an automated release.
will i be able to change employers? i have an EAD valid until October. ive heard i should be able to file for 90 day extensions indefinitely if required. otherwise my visa is tied directly to my employer.
will consult an immigration lawyer closer to offer with companies im interviewing with but curious if anyone here has a POV. Thank you!

Yes, you can get a new job either using your EAD or having the new employer file your new H1 visa. ... Of course, if the wages are so different, USCIS may consider that two jobs are no longer similar and it may potentially create a problem.
Would I extend the EAD or would the new company’s lawyers do so? Is there any risk in changing employers? I’m assuming the EAD extensions would be indefinite, until GC is released. It doesn’t sound like there’s any further processing to be done, immigration officer stamped it as approved. Unless for some reason somehow rules would change?
I think the deadline for applying for H1B has passed. I’ve never been on an H1 before, currently just an L1A.
