F5 Layoffs
Sorry to hear our friends at F5 have to go through another round of Layoffs. Anyone hear how many impacted?
Oh man! That’s so bad. How many layoffs did they have now in the last 2-3 years? Like 3 or 4?
I believe this will be the 4th or 5th one in last two years :(
That’s ridiculous! What are all the folks doing there? They should start moving out the moment they hear second layoffs. If they were let go in the 5th round in 2 years, I don’t know whom to blame!
Update: Layoffs website says 160+ people were affected. This is very sad. ------- Old: The layoff seems to be a softer one. No official news yet. It seems like 15-30 people got affected. Weird time to layoff, it's our earnings call tomorrow.

That's what I'm aware of as of yesterday.
I heard it affected VP level and down, but didn't get a sense for the number. They just moved into an expensive building in Seattle and plunked down almost $700M for an acquisition, so I suppose they needed to cut expenses.
They cut people from Pro Services, Sales, and SEs, from what I heard
Who is affected? Which departments? Did Engineers take the hit?
