I just received a FAANG offer. non-indian (just saying because i heard immi rules for indians got tougher) how likely are them to offer greencard sponsorship straightaway? also, I’ve heard wives normally cannot work under their visa - is that true at the moment ? my wife being able to work is very important to me.
What does not being Indian have to do with it? Just tell them whatever you wrote here and they will figure it out. Leave out the “non-Indian” part so that you aren’t flagged as a potential bigot.
I only included that info because I heard immigration got a lot harder for Indian nationals. I personally don’t care about people’s origin countries in the slightest. I do plan to discuss all of this with the recruiter, but as stated in another comment I am just trying to get prepared for the discussion with a bit more info
They start the GC process right away. At least M/Fb/G I think Amzn too. Wife won't be able until she gets h4 ead, that's like 9-18 months after you start
Great, exactly the sort of info I was looking for , thanks. Do they typically help with the h4 ead application too ?
Yes they do. What's your years of experience? Your wife would be able to work right away on a B visa, but for that you need to be working for the same company on a different location and do an internal transfer, I think not your case.

Likely. Wife-wise, depends on the visa.
Does it help if I say I am not Indian ...? I am trying to find out what I should watch / ask for when talking to the recruiters, to make sure I am getting the right visa / proposal
You must already have a visa if you are planning to talk to recruiters, it could be student (F), employment (H,L) or spouse visa (H,L)
