Curious if others get this a lot? I have two different Meta recruiters, a Google, and an AWS sourcer all sitting in my InMail. Also PayPal, Wayfair and Target. I assume most of us experience this but I have a more fleshed out LI profile than the average person I’d say, and I always make a point to connect with recruiters and coworkers whenever I can. So I’m wondering if that really makes a big difference or not in the amount of messages I’m getting? TC: 119k (🥜 because IBM doesn’t dish out hardly any equity except top performers, even then I got 5k worth of RSUs 🥴) YOE: 4 Either way, I need to majorly brush up on LC before I attempt any of these, I work maybe 10 hours a week right now so I’m only sticking around for the WLB.
I mostly just get contacted by Amazon recruiters.
Boo hoo! Waa waaaa
Huh??
I think it helps to have recognizable company names on your LinkedIn. I recently turned my "open to work" back on and I seem to be getting more attention (and more well known company names) even though the only thing that changed is adding my AWS stint to it with 0 information about what I do there. Previously I was at a medium sized software company that is not well known outside its industry.
Nice humblebrag 😏
Honestly not trying to be a showboat, I am so rusty I would fail any interview right now in dramatic fashion 😂
LinkedIn recruiter package does show some info about your level of activity, frequency you respond to messages, and whether or not you follow the organization. All of these will help increase your visibility over and above just having the right stuff on your profile.
So we should respond with not interested instead of ghosting?

Wow 10 hours a week. Sign me up for IBM. You can have lots of side business at the same time.
Maybe I’ll just go for the whole overemployed (dot) com approach
