Hey everyone I'm looking a referral for Amazon or any of the big tech companies. I have 6 years of working on servers for a big car company and they laid me off in the spring. Now I have 6 months of "real" software developer experience at a small company. Anyways people look at my resume and think oh this person would be great in devops or systems administrator stuff. I'm like no I have always dreamed of being a software engineer and working at these big tech companies. I have a computer science degree. I can somewhat leetcode. I'm just drained and could just use some support and directions. Thanks !
You need to be able to do more than “somewhat leetcode” to get in to Amazon.
Thanks! For record I did make it on site once. But now I'm being told I'm too experienced for sde I roles but I don't have enough experience for sde II. So yeah. Leetcode is not going to fix that .
Thats an excuse. And yes, leetcode and system design practice would actually fix that. If they thought you had sde2 potential, they would hire u as sde1 and train you to be sde2
