Meta is going to have a headcount of 100k by end of 2022. We need people to build the metaverse guys 😃

We did a layoff 2 years ago. I don’t think we’re headed for that again since we have less employees now and just had the best year in company history. We’ve been scaling appropriately since then imo.

From the whole list only Meta and Apple are the one that havent had layoffs.

Google just laid off a while support department and they did some soft layoffs back in 2008-2009. (Even some engineers)

MSFT did lay off people in last recession 2008-2009.

Amazon is continuously laying off people via pip. They will just accelerate it.

Uber/ Lyft /Airbnb have all had lay offs.

Just Meta and Apple stand tall so far.

I think Apple will be okay and won't fire. Meta may need to. Msft will also layoff but it should be minimal.
