I read a report that Facebook fired Palmer Luckey for making anti-Hillary donations $10K, and daring to be a right wing supporter in an Uber liberal Silicon Valley. Curious to hear what Blind thinks, especially Facebook employees? Do you feel pressured to lean left on all topics by your organization or colleagues?

WHY ARE WE YELLING Funny how some conservatives are all for corporate freedoms until...well...this. And I'm a conservative trump voter. Let the company fire who it wants. It's not your right to work there. Let the market sort it out.
Can you provide a link to this? I highly doubt a company would fire someone at such a high position over his politics. It was probably something else entirely. Poor performance, sexual harassment.. Etc etc.
I have to subscribe to read it. Is there a full text version around somewhere?
The article/rumor exists, unsure if we can believe that it’s true since Facebook denies firing Oculus founder based on his political views. https://finance.yahoo.com/video/facebook-denies-firing-oculus-founder-203740735.html
Do you expect them to create a PR disaster and have Zuck get called for another congressional hearing to bungle?
All I am saying is this isn’t the first time Wall Street Journal got it wrong. On a slow news day, a few times a year the Journal publishes stories about AMD getting acquired by _____ company. As I recall these have been the names so far: IBM, Microsoft, Google, Apple, Cisco and Samsung. Yet so far, AMD still stands alone. I am saying is, you have to take everything you read, with a grain of salt.
All caps is the way to go
calm down buddy
They fired him because he has a huge head and looks like a douche.
Zuck didn’t like the competition.
1. It’s behind a paywall. Either give us a link to a proper article, or STFU. 2. The part of the article we could read clearly says that neither Facebook nor the fired VP have stated why. 3. This sounds like an opinion piece.
It’s reporting on motions Lucky’s lawyers filed. Sounds like there’s email evidence of Zuck writing statements “from” Lucky about his political leanings. Not looking good for FB.
