Facebook recruiter wants me to interview for a network automation role in Menlo Park, Seattle, or Denver. Which location would you choose?

Depends on many factors here including your age, seniority, family life, etc.

In terms of cost of living:

    Denver > Seattle > MPK

In terms of career advancement, it helps to be closer to HQ so:

    MPK > Seattle > Denver

In terms of city life / commute:

    Seattle ~= Denver > MPK

In terms of year round weather (if you prefer sunshine and warmth):

    MPK > Denver > Seattle

I would need additional info for adequate comparisons.

Commute in Seattle is not nearly as bad as the bay... I'd say the majority of people have less than an hour commute in Seattle (if you're in Seattle, Redmond, Bellevue or Kirkland you're under an hour most likely), whereas most people have commutes over an hour in MPK (due to percentage of people living in SF... None of those shuttles are under an hour)

I'd go with Denver because it's still a decent size city but not so tech saturated like seattle or the bay area. But that probably depends on whether you're really interested in software vs just want a good job.

A lot of this is personal preference and depends on your background and interests.
