expect a no. Often recruiters say 'next steps' if it's a good news else they say 'update' or 'feedback'. If it's no I would appreciate just getting an email than live through this anxiety but some recruiters do consider not calling but telling it on email is unprofessional.

Thanks folks.. I looked into the invite and it says next steps, feedback and questions in the agenda.. I don’t know what to make of it.. Last year with google I just got a curt no one a short email with no feedback. I am thinking if it’s a yes to go to next round why delay, the recruiter should be anxious to schedule the next round.. Anyway will wait..

He said I passed first round but that the position he was trying for me got filled and is closed now.. so he was saying either I can go to onsite and then wait for team matching or if I wanted to explore some roles upfront and then interview with that team - I could do that as well.. I am going to be out of the country for a month shortly and so I am thinking of picking this up in January.. But I am keen to know from FB folks here as to what should I do and any pointers on how I could explore roles? Thanks

Are you at GE currently?

Thanks @mvuY28, that’s sound advice.. but I am new to this scene and interviewing without a role in mind did seem odd but perhaps that’s common.. I hear there is a boot camp after which some team matching happens etc.. but I am deep enough into my career that I don’t feel a generalist option might work for me.. I told the recruiter to identify some roles and then we could do onsite.. but that might take time given the end of year timing.. but being prepared is better

Folks, had my pm onsite at FB. The 3 interviews - do all 3 have to say yes for a hire decision? One of them didn’t go too well so was just thinking.. any insight into the decision making process from current PMs at FB would be great! Thanks

Can you please provide more details of your interviews?

Well first of all the 3 interviews were all scheduled back to back and the 2nd interviewer arrived a few mins late and I had to take a restroom break then. List like 10 mins from the 45 mins scheduled.. I am not using this as an excuse but anyway that happened. It was product sense interview and I could not do it justice with the structure expected. The other 2 were ok I think.. Anyway I guess I just wait now and if they want me to try the sense again may be they would let me do a remedial interview (I have heard sometimes they do) or I just get ready for rejection.
