FB Server Performance
Is it just a fancy name for production engineering? I talked to the recruiter and responsibilities mostly include optimizing the server performance cpu, memory etc. Also owning those metrics. I'm more interested in the software development so it doesnt sound fascinating to me. Is it indeed the production engineering? Any current engineers can confirm please.

FB has different teams under PE umbrella. You can choose after bootcamp. When you mentioned seems to be observability team.
So it's not really software development, I presume?
