I’ve cleared the fb interviews and been matched to l5 for a PM role (ml) . I have competing offers and the fb recruiters already confirmed that they are now working on the offer.

Two questions ,

1) recruiters asked a lot of questions and numbers from current comp (Amazon) and competing offer. Shared those. The recruiter has prepared a comp proposal and says it’s sent for “review”. what does this mean and how long does this take?

this looks different to Hc and candidate review as both hire decision and uplevel were confirmed.

2) Recruiter has sent a list of five teams with hiring manager profile and a role pitch for me to choose from. Offering to schedule 2-3 calls for me to decide which team to go for. What does this mean? some of these have managers offshore. What factors should one look for? senior manager? new product? scope?

      competing offer is with a series D company planning to IPO in 2 years. TC is about 350k with assumptions and fb seems keen to come close.

    1 - they have created your comp numbers and will come back to you in a couple of days . I doubt you would have a lot of negotiating room considering you shared your current comp and competing offer.

    2 - you can continue to look at the roles. It would depend on what you value more IMO. Everyone has their own preferences.
