😭😭 all those days and nights of hard work gone ddown thedrain! Not my first rejection but hurts more when it is after an onsite that you thought went well! how do you man up to prepare for other interviews that are lined up in the coming weeks? any suggestions/advice?
System design - didn’t go deep enough!
What does this mean?? How deep do they expect for system design? Do u have to create a dB schema or estimate capacity? Or at protocol level. How deep did you go?
Curious what type of comp FB would be offering for this role? At what level / YOE? THanks
Same here - I was rejected though I did well , actually this was my third attempt - first 2015 then 2018 and then now
Really? My FB interview for TPM was easy. Ended up not taking it.
Sure Amazon ahahhahahahahHzhHhzHzhhHahahhaab
I ended up taking google. I don’t work at amazon anymore. Didn’t wanna go from one brutal place to other.
How you go on... Realize that a lot of variables are at play during an interview. More then just a static bar. Companies love to make it sound like that, but its not. The interviewer could have been non communicative to your questions, taken crappy notes and forgotten later, visually or for any other reason decided they didnt like you....or liked someone else better. In short, just move along. Dont take it personally. Same exact answers you gave to some other interviewer may have been good enough. Do talk and seek feedback during an interview, but at the end of it you did your best. Its not like you outright screwed the answer up or didnt know how to do something.
Thank You!
Take away as much as you can and move on. The experience alone will help you during the next interview.
I hope so!! Thank you!
Are you already a TPM? Do you mind if I dm you with a few questions
Plz share questions as well for others
What do you mean by “you didnt go deep enough” like not covered api design etc?
Depends. Do you know what you fucked up? Or did they fuck up?
