Both roles are based in Seattle FB TC: 210K Amazon TC : 170K Amazon Pros: Job Security Cons: Lower level (L4) and lower TC FB Pros: 85% chances of getting E4 offer at the end of the year Cons: Just a 1 year program, kind of like a 1 year internship I am currently on F1 OPT, so the job security is a crucial factor
TC and work wise both FB wins it seems. Why would you consider Amazon in this case?
Only because of the job security. I can always reinterview with FB next year. If things don't work out, I will still have a job at Amazon
No, you won't. Will have to pass it again. If that was easy for you, don't count, otherwise go to FB
Why doesn’t FB offer you a full-time job? No job is secure unless you pass the H1B lottery.
Take fb and work hard for that first year
I’d take the FB one in a heartbeat. Even if it doesn’t work out, it’s a much more exclusive name to have on your resume.
