FB should let go all its security team
Lay off 1/3 employees to pop the stock price. My wife at FB told me there would be almost 0 annual bonus or refresh. WTF
Why the hate on their security team?

FB has always had a bad rep in the security industry because they don’t care about privacy and by extension, security.

This isn't the way security teams at companies the size of fb work. They can't review every PR and automated testing only takes you so far. The fact that there are a lot of bugs getting publicized at fb right now is not the security team's issue, but an overall culture issue.
Your home security system can prevent/detect intrusions, but it does not prevent you from throwing your money out of the window and someone pick it up. I think the Facebook bug is like the latter, a stupid application layer bug written by careless application developer to allow API access to unpublished photos.. It's not the security team to blame.
Security team needs to come up with regression tests so that bad code does not make it to production. If developers have to worry about security, why have a security team?
