@flipped The feedback I got from my friends is that Microsoft is among one of the best in the market currently and almost similar to others(for SDE-II role) like Amazon, Uber, LinkedIn, Google, etc

From my experience and blind posts, i would say msft compensation is definitely less than amazon, uber, linkedin. Google lowballs sometimes.

Flipkart is also mostly standardised with react as the framework. Internal UI teams are not that good - but public facing teams like mweb, desktop, seller, (and maybe even ekart) will be good for learning. Also, lot of focus on react-native in various teams.

Also yes, that sde2 range sounds correct. Some internal promoted employees end up getting even less than 25. I would say 5yrs is probably not enough experience for sde3 - typically people need more (but there are some people who get promoted every yr or so, normal people need 2+yrs between promo)

    • @flipkart I'm hired as a UI1 dev, the role is in the core apps team , can you please tell how is the wlb there . also, the stack is on react native, will I be given a little time to learn it? or expected to deliver ASAP

  • Go for sprinklr. My friends there making fortune.

Compensation: too high compare to big mnc
    Tech stack: react
Work life balance: you may suffer a bit but worth it since your priority is compensation.

Yea but it’s good for only freshers I believe. 30fixed for freshers but for people having 5+ yoe I haven’t seen anyone with 60+lpa. So depends on where you are in terms of yoe.

you should update TC and tag Uber, Atlassian, Amazon, Google etc. to get more opinions.

As for walmart the stack is mostly reactjs some applications are running on older react and angular version but newer projects are mostly reactjs.

Pay is not great and depends on competing offers but vesting is weird with yearly refreshers. WLB depends on team you are in, but mostly good. For 3-4yoe you can get 40lpa TC whereas Uber and Amazon can pay you 50-60.
