Let's call google recruiter X. I just heard that X has my feedbacks submitted so X will have more substantial update after hiring committee meeting tomorrow. X also says " let's connect tomorrow, hoping for good news of course".

This shit is making me anxious as hell before my Atg interview. Anyone any ideas as to if it is reject/borderline case(more follow-ups interview)/hire.
Why would not recruiter wait for hc meeting and then update me rather than dropping a line. Can X peek into feedback and read the sentiments.

Any help would really be appreciated!

YOE : 10
TC : 220 base + fraction of PnL ( 220-700k)

      Don't they adjust the level of expectation? I mean you just need to perform better than Index funds and random investments right?

      It's very hard to beat index funds, especially when vol is low and the bull market has been doing so well. There are more constrains e.g market neutrality that eats into your alpha.

      Well I just executed the move and asked "how does the feedback look so far?". Answer was "it's hard for me to make a judgment on the feedback just prior to HC. I should have a definitive update tomorrow.. Sorry for the wait"

    You’re overthinking it. Recruiter just wants to keep you updated on the process. You can also just ask “how is the feedback looking?”. I’ve done this a few times and got the ratings from recruiters (eg facebook) before HC meeting. Of course, recruiter would usually only respond if your ratings are really strong (like all yes signals).
